The Swiss emergency hotline 147, which supports children, teenagers, and young adults, saw a significant rise in demand last year.
According to the Pro Juventute foundation, around 47,700 calls and messages were received via phone and WhatsApp in 2024.
Many young people reached out due to suicidal thoughts, domestic violence, and bullying - issues that continue to affect youth across the country.
The foundation reported that the total time spent on calls has doubled since 2019, with a 13% increase compared to the previous year.
Pro Juventute says the figures reflect growing pressure on young people and the importance of accessible support.
