Riot police were on the streets of Bern on Saturday evening as rival football supporters staged running street battles.

Basel fans clashed with local Young Boys supporters. Police used rubber bullets and tear gas to try to break up the groups.

Police say they arrested eight ringleaders – supporters from both sides.

No-one was injured but fireworks and knuckle gloves were seized.
