The village of Brienz in canton Graubünden which has been empty since May 2023 can now be lived in again.
It was evacuated because of landslide risks.
Authorities say the danger has eased significantly since a debris flow last November. Residents can start preparing their return today.
But although residents can move back today - visitors are forbidden until Sunday.
