A record number of government leaders are expected to attend this year’s World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos this year – despite the US, China and Russia not being represented by their leaders.
The United States says President Joe Biden will not be going to Davos, but Washington is sending a high-level delegation – including climate envoy, John Kerry.
But there will be 52 heads of state or government as well as major business and institutional leaders, such as the European Central Bank, the European Commission and NATO.
The meeting kicks off on the 16th of this month.
