Public transport is going up. From December, fares will rise by an average of 3.9 percent, according to the SwissPass Alliance.
The industry says higher costs are driving the increase, alongside growing demand and the need for continued investment.
Some prices won’t change, such as tickets for children, young people and families.
But, the general abonnement will rise slightly more than single fares, while the popular half-fare card will cost five francs more.
Detailed pricing is expected later this spring.
