Hundreds turned out in Zurich to support 105 tenants who have been told they have to leave their homes by the end of March.
The owners say the aging buildings need to be completely renovated and so the residents have to move out.
Protestors say the termination notices must be withdrawn – and now some local politicians are weighing in.
The Greens and the Liberals in Zurich say the residents should be allowed to stay. There’s also amore general feeling of disenchantment over the housing situation in general – which many complain is too expensive and blame profit seeking landlords.
