Pressure on government to re-open further

The Swiss People’s Party is demanding the Federal Council allow bars and restaurants to reopen next week.

In addition, it also wants more freedom for cultural and sporting events.

Yesterday’s SonntagsZeitung says the party will send a letter to the Council.

The right-wing party has been calling for a reopening for some time, but now it seems there is growing support for the position.

The Liberal Party also seems to agree as well as other centrist parties.

But there are some parliamentarians still urging caution. Leo Müller from the Christian Democrats says it may be a bit too early – but it should be possible from May.
