There could be a new venue to enjoy the lake over the summer if a local entrepreneur gets his idea off the ground.
Sylvain de Baron from the design company Be Wild, wants to place a pontoon on the lake near the Perle du Lac.
It would be around 1000 m2 with sun chairs, parasols and a bar. There’ll also be a sectioned off swimming area.
Similar installations in Lutry and Montreux in canton Vaud have been a success.
The idea has strong support from some politicians and local hotels.
