Switzerland is looking at bidding to host the 2030 Winter Olympics.
But in a unique approach – and in an effort to keep costs down – it will be bidding as a country, not a city.
The country has almost all the facilities to host the games – but they’re not all in the same place.
The bid would suggest events would be spread across the country – from Lausanne to St Moritz.
The opening and closing ceremonies would be in Lausanne, the home of the International Olympic Committee.
The only event Switzerland couldn’t hold without building is long track speed skating – the plan would be to find a venue in a neighbouring country.
A final decision to make a bid or not will be taken at the end of next month.
