Police in Winterthur are giving a group of vandals time to come forward before they’ll publish their faces online.
Back in August last year a fountain in the town was destroyed by a group of five young men. Police believe they set it on fire using fireworks.
It was a special installation by the artist Christoph Haerle.
The police have published security camera images of the men – but for the moment with their faces blacked out. The suspects have until July 8th to turn themselves in. If they don’t, the police will take off the black strip and reveal their identities.
The damage is being estimated at CHF 100,000
