Police in Geneva have launched a major operation after an attempted armed robbery in the city centre.
Officers were called shortly before 11 a.m. yesterday after several suspects - reportedly three or four - targeted the Richard Mille luxury watch boutique on Rue du Rhône.
The group fled the scene, and during their escape one was seen discarding what police believe may be a grenade in the nearby Jardin Anglais.
Bomb disposal specialists secured the area for more than an hour while the object was examined.
A large security operation is ongoing to track down the suspects.
No injuries have been reported.
