Several restaurant owners who run food trucks at Paleo every year are pushing back against a report on RTS television last night that many are considering pulling out of the music festival due to high levels of rent they’re charged.
The TV report suggested Paleo is demanding 45% of turnover for the right to serve within the grounds – but others asked by the Tribune de Genève say that number is exaggerated.
Paleo does charge 25% - but then there are additional costs for water and electricity.
Paleo organisers say they offer a good deal – and point out that many turn up year after year and when there is a spare spot, they have no trouble filling it.
