Paléo Festival kicks off its 46th edition

Paleo festival 2023

Switzerland’s largest open-air music festival got underway yesterday evening with much anticipated performances from headliners Louise Attaque and the Black Eyed Peas.

An estimated 250,000 people are expected at the Paléo Festival, in Nyon in the canton of Vaud, over the next five days for the 46th edition of the musical extravaganza.

Paléo started out as a folk festival at Nyon Village Hall but is now one the biggest open-air music festivals in mainland Europe. The budget for this year’s Paléo is a staggering 31 million francs.

Those lucky enough to have tickets - and many people living within earshot of the site – will be treated to performances over the coming days by artists including Franz Ferdinand, Imany, Martin Garrix, Alt-J, Placebo, Bigflo & Oli, and Shaka Ponk.
