A dog owner is facing charges after a 2-year-old French bulldog died while left in a car in 27 degrees in Rorschach in canton Sankt Gallen.
A passerby heard the dog whining who was being kept in a dog box in the back of the car. He managed to break the window and tried to persuade it to drink.
By the time the police arrived, the dog had died.
A few minutes later the dog’s owner arrived. The 26-year-old was arrested and is now being dealt with by cantonal prosecutors.
