The Swiss sneaker brand, On, is being accused of ‘greenwashing’ and deceptive practices.
The Consumer Federation for French speaking Switzerland says it’s filing a complaint against the brand.
The federation says the brand’s claim that its sneakers are recyclable are untrue.
An investigation by RTS television, broadcast last June, says that the Cloudneo shoe, which is marketed as 100% recyclable, is not. And no shoes have been recycled, despite being on the market for two years.
The firm, On Running, says it disputes the claims and does not see any reason for legal action.
