A series of new rules comes into force in Switzerland on 1 June.
Under updated Schengen rules, the Federal Council will be able to temporarily reintroduce border checks or restrict airport access during major crises, such as a pandemic.
The Swiss army is also being reorganised, with a more flexible target of at least 100,000 personnel and digital service booklets replacing paper ones.
Migration authorities will gain wider powers inside federal asylum centres, including the right to carry out searches and hold people for up to two hours.
And although not a Swiss rule, it's likely to have an impact; across the border in Germany, Europa-Park - a popular destination for Swiss families - will ban smoking outside designated areas from June.
