New Migros for France

Migros

Migros wants to open another supermarket in neighbouring France.

The subsidiary, Migros France, already runs outlets in Etrembières, Neydens and Thoiry – but also wants to open a new one in Divonne-les-Bains in the Pays de Gex.

Talking to the Tribune de Gèneve, the Managing Director of Migros France, Didier Eicher, says they believe there is the demand for a new supermarket.

He admits it would be good to have Swiss based customers to the new shops – but stresses that’s not the target. He says 80% of customers of the French supermarkets are based in France.

The new shop in Divonne should open in 2026 in the development space near the old train station.
