Much delayed shopping centre to go ahead

After two decades of delays, the long-awaited outlet village in Bellegarde in neighbouring France is finally moving ahead.

The Spanish developer Neinver confirmed that “Alpes - The Style Outlets” will open at the end of 2027.

The Alpine-themed shopping complex will feature 95 stores over 20,000 square meters, with parking for more than 1,000 cars, just 25 minutes from Geneva.

Construction, halted since early 2023, is set to resume in summer 2026.

Redesigned to meet modern environmental standards, the project is seen as a major economic boost for the region.
