The Montreux Jazz Festival has released its line up - and instead of going for big names for its’ 60th anniversary - it's gone for those with the streaming traffic.
This year’s edition features 32 ticketed nights — a rich, balanced lineup, but no blockbuster names.
Festival director Mathieu Jaton says chasing overpriced superstars would be “ridiculous and dangerous.”
Instead, Montreux is betting on the future - welcoming a new wave of global pop talent, from PinkPantheress, Raye and Zara Larsson to Tyla, Sasha Keable and Sofia Camara — artists powered by billions of streams.
Names like Conan Gray, Sienna Spiro, Paris Paloma, Lewis Capaldi, and Dermot Kennedy underline the shift.
After years of disruption, the festival returns to a stunning, redesigned lakeside venue, while keeping its open-air spirit alive.
