The Mont Blanc Tunnel has reopened after being closed for three weeks to allow for major renovation of the road surface.
The closure meant those travelling south for the autumn break had to use the Grand-Saint-Bernard in Valais or the Fréjus in France.
There are still some overnight closures planned to finish off some work between now and the middle of December.
