Masks are back at the Geneva University Hospital.
Any visitors, patients and staff will all have to wear masks in the wards. It’s a decision that’s been made by the hospital itself.
The Geneva hospital is following moves made elsewhere in French speaking Switzerland. Medical facilities in Neuchâtel and Valais have brought back mask wearing rules. The main hospital in Lausanne never lifted the rules.
The Geneva Department of Health says it has no plans to bring in wider mask wearing rules at the moment – but stresses it is following the situation daily.
