A man has been ordered to leave Switzerland despite having lived here for more than 30 years and has children in the country.
A Solothurn court heard the 52-year-old man is severely in debt, doesn’t pay the child allowance and has been in trouble with the law several times – including being sent to prison.
He was first threatened with expulsion more than 10 years ago and was told not to take on more debt and stay away from trouble.
But he continued to pile on debt and was convicted of a traffic offence.
The court ruled his residency will not be renewed and there’s no reason he shouldn’t return to Kosovo, his home country.
Judges concluded even his children are no obstacle as he doesn’t have contact with them anyway.
