Major feminist march in Geneva

Thousands marched in Geneva on Saturday afternoon as part of the Feminist Strike.

Nearly 70 organisations were involved, all working for a more equal society.

The march started with a picnic at the Parc des Croppets and ended at the Place Neuve, outside the Grand Theatre – at which the protestors took particular aim due to the discovery of a hidden camera in the showers, for a second time.

The Foundation for Gender Equality published a detailed assessment on how things have changed in Switzerland over the past 15 years

While there have been significant improvements in education and political participation, there are still not enough women in leadership positions and the gender pay gap has not improved in recent years, according to the study.
