A serious accident in the French A40 autoroute near the Geneva border caused the road to be closed yesterday morning.
Police say a truck crashed into a service vehicle which was on the emergency lane.
The accident triggered a three-hour road closure and several kilometres of tailbacks for traffic heading towards Archamps.
The truck driver was taken to hospital.
