There may be fewer Swiss golden chocolate bunnies in some Easter baskets this year in Germany.
A shopkeeper in Hamburg has decided to stop selling the iconic Lindt Gold Bunny, made by Lindt & Sprüngli, citing steep price increases.
The retail price has jumped by nearly 30 percent in a year, making it too expensive for many customers. The store owner says shoppers are simply putting the product back on the shelf.
It retails at EUR 8.99 in Germany.
Despite falling cocoa prices on global markets, the chocolate giant is facing growing pressure to bring prices down.
