The Jet d’eau will now run to its normal schedule – when it gets switched back on again after its annual servicing.
The canton has decided that the energy situation is not urgent enough that the famous landmark has to have its hours cut back.
State councillor, Antonio Hodgers added that many members of the cantonal government weren’t actually convinced shortening the hours the fountain operated was strictly necessary anyway.
