Infections rising again

The latest figures from the Federal Health Office shows infections are rising, with 2,449 new cases as of yesterday.

The positivity rate is at just over 6%

156 people have been admitted to hospital and 20 more have died in the 24 hours since yesterday afternoon. 

The latest vaccination figures show that as of Tuesday, 1.6m have been vaccinated - and over 600,000 have had both doses. 

Globally, Switzerland is in the middle of the ranking s of major countries with 18.4 doses per 100 people. The top territory is Gibraltar with 181 per 100, then Israel with 117 and the Seychelles with 103. 

The UK stands at 54.6. From our neighbours, France is at 18.3 per 100 and Germany at 18.
