There are fears that tougher Covid restrictions may have to be introduced as neighbouring countries experience a new wave of infections.
Italy is now largely locked down from today after experiencing a 15% rise in infections in the last week.
In many areas, all non-essential shops are closed as well as schools and universities.
France is also experiencing a rise in infections, but authorities say they will wait before bringing in new restrictions. France still has a curfew in operation from 6pm to 6am.
The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, says if the situation worsens there will be additional measures.
