Over the past seven days, more than 7,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus with an average infection rate of around 4%.

A further 54 have died.

Again, French speaking regions are reporting the most infections – Neuchatel tops the list with 301 infections per 100,000 people. Vaud is second with 273 and Geneva is third with 266.

Although the rate of vaccinations is lower than the previous week, down 2%, already 3% of the population have been fully vaccinated – that is with both doses.

805,000 doses have been given out so far across the country. At the current rate, it will take 97 weeks to vaccinate the whole population.
