Hopes for Geneva Motor Show in 2022

Matti Blume

There are hopes the Geneva International Motor Show will take place next year.

The pandemic has killed the last two editions – this year’s event should be on right now.

The Motor Show is one of the most important events of its type in the world – and is Switzerland’s biggest event of any kind. It attracts 600,000 visitors and brings in CHF 200m for canton Geneva.

But reports suggest a new organiser is due to sign an agreement to hold the event in 2022. The identity of that organiser is not yet known, but it’s thought to be not Swiss based.

The venue, Palexpo, says the news is excellent.

More information is due to be released at the end of the month.
