Heavily armed police officers stormed a private apartment in Champel in Geneva on Sunday night.
Police say they were called to the residence as a very heated argument had broken out. A police spokesman says they intervened in such force as they were reports of a bladed weapon.
One woman had already been injured and was outside the building waiting for help to arrive.
A man was arrested.
