The Federal Health Office is blocking attempts to reveal how much it paid for covid vaccines. The government bought 61 million doses from six different manufacturers.
The Federal Data Protection Commissioner says the secrecy is not compatible with the Public Information Act.
But the Health Office says the negotiations over the price with the makers and two partner states, France and Sweden, were confidential.
It’s argued if Switzerland were to break the promise it would make future deals impossible.
