Health insurance premiums are set to rise again next year.
Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider confirmed an average increase of 4.4 percent - about 16 francs more per person each month.
Ticino is hit hardest with a 7.1 percent jump, making it the first canton where average premiums pass 500 francs. In contrast, Zug sees a dramatic 14.7 percent drop thanks to the canton covering nearly all hospital costs.
Western Switzerland fares mixed: Geneva, Fribourg, and Neuchâtel stay below average, while Jura and Valais struggle.
The government is promising reform, from drug discounts to uniform healthcare financing. But real relief remains distant.
