GVA passenger traffic climbs over summer

GVA

Passenger traffic this summer at Geneva airport has met expectations.

The number of people flying has slowly increased since the spring and the latest figures from July show the airport was running at around 55% of 2019 levels.

That’s what was predicted, according to the airport CEO, André Schneider.

He says it’s hoped that next year will see a continued return to normality.

The busiest week this year so far was between 2nd and 8th August with 219,000 passengers - about 58% of pre-pandemic levels.
