A special flight is being organised by the government to get Swiss nationals out of Israel and the Occupied Territories.
The plane, operated by SWISS International Airlines, is already fully booked. It will leave later this afternoon.
Although this flight is being run at the request of the Foreign Ministry, the government is making clear there won’t be a systematic evacuation, but it is working with other countries to allow Swiss nationals to benefit from other flights leaving the area.
The Foreign Ministry says there are 28,000 Swiss nationals living in Israel, the Occupied Territories or Palestinian lands.
