A five-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her mother in 2011 in France has been found in canton Vaud. She’s now 16.
Camille Chauvet has remained on the missing persons list since she disappeared with her mother near Toulon in France. Her parents had separated and courts had awarded alternating custody. It was while she was with her mother that she vanished.
She was found in Morges during a routine traffic stop.
Camille is now in care and her mother is in detention. A court will hear the case this Friday which will determine if she should be returned to her father.
