Geneva’s Servette FC sues Zurich FC fans over violence at stadium

Geneva’s football club Servette FC has filed a legal complaint against Zurich FC supporters after violence broke out during and after the home game on Saturday.

The lawsuit cites clashes between Zurich FC supporters and security personnel, police as well as damage to parts of the stadium itself.

The police reportedly used tear gas and pepper spray to bring the crowds under control.

After the match, there were also reports of train delays, due to some Zurich supporters throwing objects at the security services at the station.

Zurich FC won the game 1-0.
