Geneva voters are set to decide a long-running dispute over urban speed limits.
The Grand Council has passed a law to keep a minimum speed of 50 kph on major roads. But the left has forced a referendum, backed by more than five thousand signatures, to preserve 30 zones in certain areas.
Supporters argue lower speeds reduce noise, improve safety, and protect public health.
Opponents say higher limits are needed to maintain traffic flow.
A public vote is now expected to settle the issue.
