Geneva spa faces legal action over voucher

The Geneva spa, Le Bain Bleu, is facing legal action from an unhappy customer after they tried to use a voucher worth CHF 415.

The customer had taken a picture of the voucher on her phone, which had the activation code. But the spa insisted on the paper version. The customer consulted the terms and conditions and it made no mention the physical copy was necessary.

The local TV station, Léman Bleu was contacted. When they checked the Ts and Cs – they found the condition to have the paper version had been added.

The Swiss Romande Consumer Association says the terms which apply were the ones published at the time of purchase – so the customer has the right to take legal action.
