 
                            Staff at a Geneva school are under fire for forcing students to run 1000 meters last Thursday, when temperatures were at 40 degrees.
While Geneva was the only canton in French speaking areas that allowed students to go home in the extreme heat – the Collège de Bois-Caran in Collonge-Bellerive made several teenagers run in a test which would have impacted their grades if they’d refused.
The cantonal Department of Public Instruction says the situation was regrettable and went against the official advice.
