Thousands of runners and supporters packed the streets of Geneva this weekend for the 20th edition of the Geneva Marathon, which attracted a record 27,500 participants across its various races.
From elite athletes to first-time runners, competitors took part in events ranging from the popular 5-kilometre race to the full marathon yesterday morning.
Organisers say participation was up by around 2,000 people compared to last year, highlighting the growing popularity of the event.
The main race was won by Kenyan Collins Kemboi in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 52 seconds - the fastest woman was also Kenyan, Patience Kimutai.
