Geneva City remains left-wing, Vernier results on-hold

After the second round of Geneva’s municipal elections, left-wing parties maintain their control of the city with a Green and Centre alliance. Also, the Administrative Council is now majority female.

The others also kept a largely left-wing majority – but the results in Vernier are now subject to a legal dispute after nearly 500 ballots seemed to have been altered in nearly an identical fashion during the first round.

The Council of State has not yet validated the results, which have the three top results going to the Social Democrats, Greens and the Liberals for the moment.
