Geneva and Zurich airports were blocked yesterday by activists from the organizations “Act Now!” and Extinction rebellion.
In Zurich, three activists blocked the access road to the airport. In Geneva, four activists sat in the middle of the road towards the end of the runway. One man stuck his hand to the road.
They were protesting "against a government that remains inactive in the face of the worsening climate crisis”.
Banners read "Oil kills" and "Drop fossil subsidies" .
The police dispersed the protest after about 10 to 15 minutes.
