Swiss internet quality beats near neighbours

Swisscom and Sunrise have both scored "exceptional" in a yearly internet quality test, beating all their German and Austrian competitors

Swisscom came first with 992 points out of 1,000 — its sixth consecutive win and its best-ever score — according to the German specialist magazine Connect.

Sunrise followed closely with 987 points, up eight on last year, keeping its own "exceptional" rating for the fifth year running.

The test grades fixed broadband and landline services.
