Geneva Airport is ready for the summer

Geneva airport is preparing for passenger numbers this summer season that will be very close to pre-pandemic levels.

It’s expected the number of flights will be close to 96% of those running in the summer of 2019.

The airport says work has been going to make sure it will be ready for the busy season – and airlines have been employing more staff to reflect the extra flights that will be running.

easyJet says two new planes, 32 new pilots and 85 cabin crew will be allocated to Geneva.

Other airlines, including SWISS, are also boosting staffing levels.

The airport says it’s ready to handle three million passengers over the next few weeks.
