After years of negotiation the first Park and Ride car park for Geneva will open in France.
Spaces for 436 cars, including 90 charging points, will open in the autumn at the Ferney-Voltaire Innovation Hub. 130 of those spaces will be reserved for Park and Ride for CHF 1,227 a year, which includes unlimited public transport access for zones 250 in France and zone 10 for Geneva.
The hope is it will help cut car traffic to the Ferney border.
This will be the first of several P+R outside Geneva which will be able handle 2,000 vehicles by the end of 2028.
