Excitement on the lake this weekend

Geneva is swapping calm lake views for high-speed thrills this weekend as SailGP lands in Switzerland for the first time.

Twelve nations, twelve catamarans that can reach 100 kph.

The 10th leg of the 2025 circuit unfolds right by the Jet d’Eau, turning the harbor into a racetrack.

Team Switzerland, which is sitting seventh overall, will be hoping home waters give them an edge.

Organisers say the wind forecasts are good for this weekend and hope for a spectacular race.

If you want to watch, unfortunately all the seats in a grandstand have been sold, but there are free spaces on the Quai de Cologny and there’ll be a fan zone on the Baby-Plage.
