There are hopes the European Union will formally recognise Swiss Covid certificates by the end of the week.
Certificates issued by Switzerland and the EU work on similar principles and technical tests between the two have been successful.
For the EU to give the go-ahead, it has to be agreed by all EU countries. But that should be done by Friday.
France is already accepting the Swiss certificate.
Once mutual recognition is in place – it will become far easier to travel throughout Europe.
