Elderly couple held hostage in their home

Police in Aargau are hunting three men who tied up an elderly couple and ransacked their house on Saturday morning.

They escaped with cash and valuables. The couple were only slightly injured.

After the robbers left the couple were able to raise the alarm by contacting their neighbours.

Police say the men were all on the short side – only around 165 cm tall, one seemed to be wearing an old post office uniform. They were aged around 25 years old and one spoke only broken German.

Police are asking for witnesses.
