An earthquake which struck in canton Jura is expected to have caused minor damage.
The quake, registered 4.3 on the Richter Scale, hit the eastern part of the canton, but the tremors were felt across the country. It was the strongest quake registered in the region for a century.
The Swiss Seismological Service say the quake was at 3.50 yesterday afternoon at a depth of 5.7 km.
The service says it expects some building damage could have happened and it warns there could be some aftershocks.
